Great Caliphs of Islam: Pioneers of Faith and Governance
Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (R.A.Z) was a friend of Hazrat Muhammad (R.A.S.W) His Name Was Abdullah and his kuniyyat (Family Name) was Abu Bakar. His Title Was Siddique.He was a man of good habits. He Was Very Kind Hearted And Loving.He was the first among men to accept Islam.
Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.Z) spent this whole life in the company of Rasoolullah.He had great love and affection for him. Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.Z ) daughter Hazrat Ayesha (R.A.Z) was married to Rasoolullah . After the death of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.Z) was elected as the first caliph of Islam.He remained a caliph for more than two years.
Hazrat Umar (R.A.Z) was elected as the second caliph of Islam.Before accepting Islam, Hazrat Umar (R.A.Z ) was an opponent of Islam. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) wished that Hazrat Umar Guided him (R.A.Z) to accepting Islam. The Muslims gained strength say their prayers in hiding, but later they began to pray inside the Kaaba. That is why Rasoolullah (S.A.W) gave him (R.A.Z) the title of Farooq (the one who distinguishes between the right and wrong). He (R.A.Z) became a distinguishing factor between Muslims and disbelievers.Hazrat Umar (R.A.Z) Loved Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) very much. His daughter Hazrat Hafsa (R.A.Z) was married to him (S.A.W) . Hazrat Umar (R.A.Z) served Islam and the Muslims as a caliph for ten and a half years.
Hazrat Usman (R.A.Z) was a very pious man. He was a friend of Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.Z) . When Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.Z) invited him to Islam, he accepted it instantly. Hazrat Usman (R.A.Z) was a very rich trader. He was know as Ghani because he was very generous and spent generously in the way of Allah. He always helped the Muslims in times of need. He was know for marrying two of Hazrat Muhammad's (R.A.S) daughters both at different times. For this he became known as Zun Noorain, meaning holder of two lights. After the martyrdom of Hazrat Umar ( R.A.Z), Hazrat Usman (R.A.Z) became the third caliph of Islam. He remained in office for twelve years.
Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) was the son of Hazrat Abu Talib, uncle of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) From his early childhood, Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) lived with Rasoolullah (S.A.W) . Hence, he was brought up in the Care of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) .
Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) was the first among children to accept Islam. He was at that time only ten years old. Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) write letters and treaties for Rasoolullah (S.A.W) . He was a very courageous man. That is why, he is also known Asadullah meaning the lion of Allah. During the war of Khyber, Rasoolullah ( S.A.W) handed Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) the Islamic flag and Allah granted victory to the Muslims.
Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) had married off his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima (R.A.Z) to Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) . Hazrat Hassan (R.A.Z) and Hazrat Hussain (R.A.Z) were the sons of Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) And Hazrat Hussain (R.A.Z) very much. After the martyrdom of Hazrat Usman (R.A.Z) , Hazrat Ali (R.A.Z) became the fourth caliph of Islam. He performed his duties as a caliph for almost five years.
